As a teacher, I am always learning and engaging with other professionals to enable my learning and teaching practice to continually develop. Throughout my professional practice, I have had an active role in collaborating with professional networks and the broader community.

Volunteering:
In 2015, I volunteered to support my mentor teacher with coaching the Year 6/7 Port Pirie SAPSASA Netball teams. Volunteering in this capacity enabled me to gain extra experience with upper primary aged students, interact with parents and other team officials.
Excursions:
Through my vacation care employment, I coordinate excursions and community activities where it is essential to collaborate with parents, community services and manage children interactions. Similarly, my SSO employment allows me to support in managing excursions. Some of the excursions which I have helped managed or coordinated include:
Extra-Curricular Activities and 'Off-Duty' Interactions:
I can demonstrate my ability to eagerly commit my time to extra-curricular activities such as volunteering to supervise at sleepovers during vacation care and assisting with organising school events as an SSO, such as Christmas concerts. Outside of school hours, I participate in online interactions through connections and memberships with professional groups and resource sharing sites such as Pinterest, Teachers Pay Teachers, Relief Teaching Ideas Community, Facebook groups, TES Australia, Education Week Australia, Australian Education Union (AEU), Education World and Edutopia Community.

Additionally, experience in special educational settings allow me to model effective relationships and community partnerships with professional services that offer ongoing support for students with disabilities, such as Speech Pathologists, Novita or Psychologists, to discuss students' learning, strategies, goals and changes to education or health plans.
